Acid Base Accounting

Acid Base Accounting is a tool used in mine waste management to assess the likely discharge from a mine caused by acid mine drainage (AMD). AMD is produced by the exposure of sulphide minerals such as pyrite to atmospheric oxygen and water.

CRL Energy can conduct the static tests, Net Acid Generation (NAG), and Acid Neutralising Capacity (ANC), as well as the longer term kinetic leaching columns. In addition, we have geologists who can interprete the data and prepare remediation plans.
